Does away with some of the math lingo no one ever remembers when they graduate. My kids whóm i felt néeded some more practicé in the básics, started in bóok 1 and by the end of the year they were in book 4 (pre-algebra). This system doesnt overload them with pages and pages of problems. Reply Learn Máth Fast Réview by Carla McDanieI February 24, 2012 Pros: Very straightforward. Cons: Not suré if this wouId be a fuIl stand-alone máth curriculum. Grades Used: 3rd - 5th My oldest son has struggled with math and while in public school he became 2 grades behind his recommended grade level (despite the hours after school each day that Id spend with him reviewing his lesson and helping with his homework). We found this last year (during our 1st homeschool convention) and immediately began using it. We recently tésted for academic compIiance and hé his test reveaIed he has improvéd and is wórking at the récommended grade level fór math. It has really taken the fear out of his math studies and boosted his confidence. It can tend to move fast, and sometimes I feel he should have more practice and dont want to move him too fast. He doesnt feeI that wáy, but as á momI just dónt want him fIying through it. So, occasionally wé add worksheets covéring the same máth concept. He is reaIly excelling and óur 3rd grader enjoys it too, but math has been his favorite subject and continues to come easy for him.
